Climate Overview
Bulgaria has a transitional climate between continental and Mediterranean. The north (Danube Plain) is continental with cold winters, the south (Rhodopes, Thracian Plain) has Mediterranean influences with milder temperatures. The Black Sea coast benefits from the moderating influence of the sea.
