About The Valley
The Valley is the tranquil capital of Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the northeastern Caribbean. The island is only 26 kilometers long and is considered the best-kept secret of the Caribbean — far from mass tourism, yet home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Shoal Bay East is regularly ranked among the top beaches in the Caribbean: powdery white sand, turquoise water, and a relaxed atmosphere without large hotels. Meads Bay and Rendezvous Bay are equally stunning and often deserted. The island has more dream beaches per square kilometer than almost any other destination. Anguilla is famous for its fine dining — despite its small size, there are dozens of excellent restaurants, from beach shacks serving fresh lobster to fine dining with Caribbean flair. The annual Moonsplash Music Festival and the boat races on Anguilla Day are cultural highlights. The underwater world offers coral reefs, shipwrecks, and crystal-clear visibility. Sandy Island, a tiny sandbank island, is accessible by boat and offers snorkeling like out of a picture book.
