Local Transport
Trains (DSB — Danske Statsbaner)
The Danish rail network efficiently connects all major cities. The trains are modern, punctual, and have Wi-Fi. Important connections:

| Copenhagen → Helsingør | 45 Min. | 84 DKK |

Orange Tickets: DSB's early booking discount prices are often 50–70% cheaper than the normal price. Non-exchangeable, but unbeatable in price. Book 2 months in advance!
Buses
- FlixBus — Connects Danish cities and is often cheaper than the train. Copenhagen–Aarhus from 10€.
- Local buses — In rural areas (especially West Jutland), regional buses are often the only public transport option.
Bicycle
The best means of transport in Denmark — at least in cities and on the islands. Rental bikes in Copenhagen: Donkey Republic (App, 45 DKK/day), Bycyklen (E-bikes, 30 DKK/hour). Every tourist city has bike rentals. Bicycles can be taken on DSB trains (bicycle ticket required).
Rental Car
For West Jutland, the North Sea coast, and excursions into rural Denmark, a rental car is sensible. Prices: from 350 DKK/day (small car). Providers: Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Budget. Speed limit: Highway 130 km/h, country road 80 km/h, city 50 km/h. Note: Driving with lights is mandatory year-round in Denmark (low beam, even during the day).
Public Transport in Copenhagen
Copenhagen's public transport includes Metro (driverless, 24/7!), S-Tog (suburban train), buses, and harbor buses (boats!). Rejsekort (Danish chip card) is the cheapest payment method, single tickets via the DOT app. Zone system: Zone 1–2 (city center): 27 DKK. 24-hour card: 80 DKK. The Metro M3 (Cityringen) runs 24/7 every 2–4 minutes — one of the best metros in Europe.
