About Port El Kantaoui

Port El Kantaoui is Tunisia's most elegant beach resort and a meticulously planned holiday paradise that was created in the 1970s around a picturesque marina. Located north of the historic city of Sousse, this place combines Mediterranean flair with North African hospitality and offers beaches that can compete with the best in the Mediterranean - all at a fraction of the prices of European competitors. The marina is the heart of Port El Kantaoui and gives the place its distinctive character. White sailboats and elegant yachts sway in the turquoise water, lined by a promenade with restaurants, cafés, and boutiques reminiscent of a southern French marina. In the evening, the harbor transforms into a romantic promenade as lanterns illuminate the white walls and restaurants open their terraces to the water. The beaches of Port El Kantaoui are among the most beautiful in all of Tunisia. The fine white sand stretches for several kilometers and gently slopes into the clear Mediterranean. The hotel complexes have direct beach access, water sports from parasailing to jet skiing are offered everywhere, and water temperatures reach a pleasant 25 to 27 degrees in summer. The water park on the edge of the resort is a highlight for families with children. The Hannibal Park garden in the center of Port El Kantaoui impresses with exotic plants, fountains, and a replica of the Carthaginian harbor. Two 18-hole golf courses of international standard make the place popular with golfers as well. Those who want to experience Tunisian culture and history will find a UNESCO World Heritage Medina in Sousse - just 6 kilometers away - featuring the impressive Ribat, a fortress from the 8th century. From Germany, it takes just over three hours to fly to Enfidha or Monastir, both airports are only 30 to 45 minutes from Port El Kantaoui. Prices for all-inclusive hotels are significantly lower than in comparable European resorts. The best travel time is from May to October, with the spring months of April and May being particularly pleasant.
