About Zhuhai

Zhuhai is located on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong and borders the Special Administrative Region of Macau. The city is considered one of the most livable cities in China: Clean air, expansive coastal promenades, and tropical vegetation clearly distinguish Zhuhai from the overcrowded neighboring metropolises. Lover's Road (Qinglv Lu) is Zhuhai's landmark: A 28-kilometer long waterfront promenade along the coast, lined with palm trees and sculptures, ideal for walking, cycling, and romantic sunsets. The Fisher Girl Statue at the end of the promenade is the symbol of the city. Zhuhai is the gateway to over 140 islands in the Pearl River Delta: Dong'ao Island offers crystal-clear waters and diving opportunities, Wailingding Island at the border with Hong Kong impresses with dramatic rock formations, and Hebao Island is a tranquil paradise with sandy beaches. The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, opened in 2018, is the longest sea crossing in the world at 55 km and connects Zhuhai directly with Hong Kong. The border crossing to Macau can be done on foot or by bus, making Zhuhai the ideal starting point for day trips to the casino metropolis. Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is the largest ocean theme park in Asia: Whale sharks, beluga whales, roller coasters, and shows delight families. The adjacent Chimelong International Circus offers spectacular acrobatic performances.
