At the southern end of the park, the golden sandy beaches begin, which give Varna its reputation as a seaside resort. The Golden Sands Bay north of Varna is Bulgaria's most famous beach resort. Hotels, restaurants, and clubs line up along four kilometers - a paradise for party-goers and beach lovers alike. Those who prefer a quieter atmosphere can find untouched coastal stretches south of Varna at Kamchia Beach or in the Golden Sands Nature Park. The old town of Varna surprises with the Cathedral of the Assumption, the Roman Baths from the 2nd century - the largest in the Balkans - and a lively pedestrian zone full of cafes, restaurants, and street performers. From Germany, you can fly directly to Varna in just over two hours. The season extends from June to September, with Varna being a livable city year-round.
