Climate Overview
Bora Bora is located 16° south of the equator and has a tropical-oceanic climate — warm year-round, humid, and moderated by the trade winds. Temperatures fluctuate little, but rainfall and humidity vary significantly between the seasons.

Water Temperature: Delightfully warm year-round: 26°C in winter to 29°C in summer. Snorkeling and diving are possible all year — no wetsuit needed.
Cyclone Season: From November to April, there is a theoretical cyclone risk, but direct hits on Bora Bora are extremely rare. The last significant impact was decades ago — the resorts are accordingly prepared.
Sunshine Hours: Bora Bora enjoys plenty of sunshine year-round — even in the rainy season, the sun shines daily between the short tropical showers. The dry season offers 7–8 hours of sunshine per day, the rainy season 5–6.
