Edinburgh Airport (EDI)
Edinburgh's airport is located just 13 km west of the center — one of the best-connected airports in the UK.
- Flight time from Germany: 2–2.5 hours (Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg).
- Airlines: Ryanair (cheapest option), easyJet, Eurowings, Lufthansa, British Airways.
- Prices: From €30 one-way with Ryanair, €80–200 return with scheduled airlines.
Transfer Airport → City Center
- Tram: The Edinburgh Tram connects the airport directly with Princes Street and the city center. 30 minutes, £7 single (£10 return). Every 7–10 minutes. The best option.
- Airlink 100 Bus: Express bus to Waverley Bridge (next to Waverley Station). 25 min., £5.50 single, every 10 min.
- Taxi: Approximately £30–35 to the center, 20–30 min.
