Havana is located in the Tropics on the Gulf of Mexico. The climate is tropical-humid with a clear division: a dry season (November–April) and a rainy season (May–October). Temperatures are warm to hot year-round.

Important: Cuba's hurricane season runs from June to November, with the highest risk in September and October. Severe hurricanes hit Cuba on average every few years — but even without a direct hit, there can be heavy rains and flooding.
