The Four Seasons

Spring (March–May): Blooming Splendor

The parks explode in color: cherry blossoms in Regent's Park, daffodils in Hyde Park, magnolias in Kew Gardens. Temperatures rise to 15–18°C, pub terraces fill up, and the city shakes off winter. Easter brings markets and events, the Chelsea Flower Show in May is the largest gardening event in the world. Moderate hotel prices and pleasant visitor numbers.

Summer (June–August): Park Season

The best time for London — if the weather cooperates. Temperatures up to 25°C (occasionally over 30°C), long evenings, open-air cinemas, Proms at the Royal Albert Hall (classical concerts, July–September), Wimbledon (tennis, late June/early July) and the Notting Hill Carnival (August Bank Holiday Weekend). Peak season: crowded museums and expensive hotels — book early!

Autumn (September–October): Golden Autumn

The parks turn gold and red, the tourist crowds thin out, and London becomes cozier. Perfect time for museums, theater, and pub evenings. September is often warmer than expected (16–20°C), October gets cooler. London Film Festival in October, Bonfire Night (November 5) with fireworks.

Winter (November–February): Christmas Magic

London in winter has its own charm: Christmas markets (Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, South Bank, Covent Garden), ice rinks (Somerset House, Natural History Museum), the Regent Street Christmas lights, and the panto season (British Christmas theater comedy). New Year's Eve: The fireworks at the London Eye are among the most spectacular in the world (tickets required!). Cool (3–8°C), but rarely bitterly cold.
