Namibia is not a budget travel destination, but significantly cheaper than Botswana or Tanzania. The biggest cost factors are the rental car and accommodations. Camping saves enormously — and is a real experience in Namibia.

The most affordable way to experience Namibia: rent a 4×4 with a rooftop tent and stay at the excellent campsites. For two people, it costs 80–100€ per day all-inclusive — and the experience under the starry sky is priceless.
