International Flights
Namibia has one international airport for long-haul flights:
✈️ Windhoek — Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH)
The main airport is located 45 km east of Windhoek. Direct flights from Frankfurt with Condor (approx. 10 hours, seasonal) and Eurowings Discover. Alternatively, with transfers via Johannesburg (South African Airways, Lufthansa), Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines), Doha (Qatar Airways), or Istanbul (Turkish Airlines).
Transfer: No public transport to the airport! Book a shuttle in advance (approx. 250–350 NAD / 15–20€) or pick up a rental car directly at the airport — most 4×4 rental companies have offices at the terminal.
✈️ Walvis Bay — Walvis Bay Airport (WVB)
Smaller airport on the coast, with connections to Johannesburg and Cape Town. Convenient if your trip begins or ends on the coast.

💡 Tipp
Condor flies seasonally nonstop from Frankfurt to Windhoek in about 10 hours — the most convenient option. Book early! There are year-round connections via Johannesburg, but the transfer takes 4–6 hours.
