At the small marketplace, barely larger than a living room, historic inns line up, seemingly frozen in time. Beilstein has served as a backdrop for numerous films and television productions, including scenes for the film The New Doctor. Beilstein is perfect as a stopover on a Moselle cycling tour or hike along the Moselsteig. From Cochem, the nearest larger town, it is only eight kilometers upstream. A ferry connection takes hikers and cyclists across the Moselle.
