About Thassos
Thassos is the northernmost and greenest island of Greece, just 12 kilometers from the Macedonian mainland and accessible by a short ferry ride from Kavala or Keramoti. Dense pine and plane forests cover the mountainous island down to the crystal-clear bays, earning it the nickname 'emerald green island.' Mount Ipsarion rises 1,205 meters above sea level and offers hikers spectacular views over the northern Aegean.
