You hear these expressions constantly in Egypt — knowing them helps to understand the culture:

| يلّا | Yalla | "Let's go! Come on! Let's get going!" — the universal motivator. |

| خلاص | Khalas | "Finished! Done! Enough!" — ends any discussion. |
