EU Citizens

As an EU citizen, you do not need a visa. Finland is a Schengen member — you only need a valid ID card or passport. No border controls when entering from other Schengen states (direct flight from Germany = no passport needed, but carry your ID).

Stay: Unlimited for EU citizens. For stays over 3 months: registration with the migration authority (Migri) is recommended but not mandatory.

Swiss

Same rules as EU citizens (Schengen Agreement). Passport or ID is sufficient.

Customs

Within the EU: no customs restrictions for personal items. For alcohol from non-EU countries (e.g., Åland ferries, which are duty-free): observe duty-free limits (1l spirits, 4l wine, 16l beer).
