Scotland
Scotland is wild, proud, and untamable — a land of mist-covered mountains, lonely lakes, whisky distilleries, and castles perched on dramatic cliffs. The Scots have their own character: direct, humorous, hospitable, and with a pride in their independence that has only grown since the 2014 referendum (and Brexit). From the cosmopolitan capital Edinburgh to the wild solitude of the Highlands and the mystical Isle of Skye — Scotland is one of the last places in Europe where you can find true wilderness.
