What do the Cape Verde Islands cost?
Price-wise, Cape Verde is in the lower mid-range for European travelers — comparable to Portugal or Morocco. The tourist islands of Sal and Boa Vista are more expensive than Santiago or Santo Antão. In general: local restaurants and markets are cheap, tourist facilities and imported goods are more expensive. Since almost everything has to be imported (the islands produce little themselves), supermarket prices are higher than expected.
