Recommended: Travel health insurance (covers private doctors and repatriation, from 10 €/year), Travel cancellation insurance (for more expensive trips), Full car rental insurance without deductible (via credit card or insurance). The EHIC is sufficient for basic care, but does not cover repatriation and private doctors.
