Alternative Entry Points
- Yogyakarta (JOG/YIA): The new Yogyakarta International Airport is increasingly internationally connected — ideal for Java-focused trips

- Makassar (UPG): Southwest Sulawesi, gateway to the Toraja Highlands

💡 Tipp
Book flights 3–4 months in advance for the best prices. The route Frankfurt → Singapore → Jakarta/Yogyakarta is often 100–200 € cheaper than via the Gulf States. Flexibility with the departure airport (Munich, Düsseldorf, Vienna) can save another 50–100 €.
