Cambodia is a dream destination for budget travelers. The country is significantly cheaper than Thailand and on par with Vietnam or Myanmar. The use of the US dollar makes cost planning easy.

💡 Tipp
In Cambodia, you pay with US dollars! Change under 1 USD is given in Riel (4,100 KHR = 1 USD). Bring fresh, undamaged USD bills — old or torn bills will be rejected. 50- and 100-dollar bills are hard to change; 1-, 5-, and 10-dollar bills are perfect.
