Morocco uses 220 V alternating current, 50 Hz. Sockets are Type C (Europlug) and Type E (French, with grounding pin). German and Austrian plugs (Type C and F) usually fit — with Type-F plugs (Schuko), the grounding pin may interfere, a simple adapter helps.

Swiss plugs (Type J) require an adapter. In older riads and rural accommodations, sockets may be loose — a power strip is practical.
