Why Oman?

While Dubai and Abu Dhabi dominate the headlines, Oman has quietly preserved one of the most authentic and fascinating travel destinations in the Arab world. Here, there are no superlative skyscrapers and no artificial islands — instead, a breathtaking natural landscape, millennia-old fortresses, and hospitality that leaves you speechless.

  • Wadis — Emerald green natural pools in deep gorges: Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid are among the most beautiful swimming spots in the world. You hike through rock gorges and swim in crystal-clear water — right in the desert
  • Wahiba Sands (Sharqiya Sands) — Endless sand dunes where you stay overnight in authentic Bedouin camps under the clearest starry sky you've ever seen
  • Musandam — The "Fjords of Arabia" in the far north: Dramatic cliffs plunge into the turquoise sea, dolphins accompany your dhow ride
  • Jebel Shams — The "Grand Canyon of Arabia" with 1,000-meter-deep gorges and spectacular hiking trails at over 3,000 meters altitude
  • Muscat — One of the most beautiful capitals in the Middle East: The Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the historic Mutrah Souq, and the dramatic coastline between the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Sea
  • Ras al Jinz — One of the few places in the world where you can watch sea turtles laying eggs on the beach — every night of the year
  • Salalah — Oman's tropical south, which explodes into lush greenery during the Khareef monsoon (June–September), while the rest of the peninsula glows under 50°C

What makes Oman unique is the authenticity. Here, the businessman still wears the traditional dishdasha, incense scents every corner, and hospitality is not tourist marketing, but deeply rooted culture. Sultan Qaboos (1970–2020) modernized the country gently, without selling its soul. The result: modern infrastructure, perfect roads, safe conditions — wrapped in an authenticity that Dubai has long lost.

Oman is adventure and comfort at the same time: You drive through a lunar landscape of rock in the morning, swim in a wadi under palm trees at noon, race over sand dunes in the afternoon, and sleep in a luxury camp under the stars in the evening. And all this on excellently developed roads.
