Electricity & Sockets

Vietnam uses 220V / 50Hz. The sockets are a mix of:

• Type A: Two flat pins (American) — most common
• Type C: Two round pins (European) — usually works without an adapter
• Type G: Three rectangular pins (British) — in newer hotels

Many sockets in hotels accept both Type A and Type C. A universal adapter is still recommended. USB chargers work worldwide.
