On Foot & Fiaker
Vienna's Inner City is compact and perfectly accessible on foot — from St. Stephen's Cathedral to the Opera: 10 minutes, to the Hofburg: 5 minutes. Most attractions in the 1st district are within walking distance.
Fiaker: The horse-drawn carriages in front of St. Stephen's Cathedral offer nostalgic tours — 30 minutes from 80€, 60 minutes from 130€. Touristic, but atmospheric. Agree on prices in advance!
Taxi & Ridesharing
Viennese taxis are reputable and safe — base fare 3.80€ (day) / 4.30€ (night), then approx. 1.42€/km. A ride through the Inner City: 8–15€. Uber and Bolt operate in Vienna, but are often not significantly cheaper than taxis.
