Regions at a Glance

Argentina stretches over 3,500 km from north to south — from the subtropical jungle to Tierra del Fuego at the tip of South America. The main travel regions:

Buenos Aires

For whom: Culture fans, tango enthusiasts, gourmets, night owls
The vibrant capital with European flair: Tango in San Telmo, street art in Palermo, steakhouses in Puerto Madero, and nightlife that only begins after midnight. Plan at least 3–4 days!

Patagonia

For whom: Trekkers, nature lovers, adventurers
The wild expanse at the end of the world: The Perito Moreno Glacier, the Fitz Roy massif in El Chaltén, Ushuaia as the southernmost city in the world, and the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Argentina's most spectacular landscapes.

Northwest (NOA)

For whom: Culture travelers, photographers, wine lovers
The most colorful region: The Quebrada de Humahuaca (UNESCO), the Seven Colors Hill of Purmamarca, the colonial beauty of Salta, and the Torrontés wine region of Cafayate.

Iguazú

For whom: Nature lovers, families, adventurers
The mighty waterfalls on the border with Brazil and Paraguay — one of the great natural wonders of the earth. The Argentine side offers the more intense experience with walkways directly over the cascades.

Wine Country (Cuyo)

For whom: Wine connoisseurs, gourmets, outdoor fans
Mendoza is the Malbec capital of the world: Hundreds of bodegas against the backdrop of the Andes, plus rafting, the Aconcagua, and the beautiful Valle de Uco.
