Termas Geométricas — The Most Beautiful Thermal Park in the World
The Termas Geométricas are located 70 km southeast of Pucón amidst the Valdivian rainforest and are — without exaggeration — one of the most beautiful places in Chile. The Japanese-Chilean architect Germán del Sol has created a masterpiece here: 17 hot springs (35–45°C), connected by red-painted wooden walkways that wind through a deep, moss-covered gorge. Waterfalls cascade beside the pools, ferns and giant Nalca rhubarb arch over the walkways, and steaming clouds rise from the hot water into the cool forest air.
The experience is almost spiritual: You wander from pool to pool, each with a different temperature and atmosphere. Some are tiny and intimate, others large enough for a dozen bathers. In between are cold natural pools for circulation — the switch between hot and cold in the forest air is incredibly invigorating.
