Regions at a Glance

India is vast — seven times the size of Germany in terms of area. Each region is practically its own country with its own language, cuisine, culture, and landscape:

🏙️ Delhi

For whom: Everyone — Delhi is the gateway to North India
The capital is a wild ride through 1,000 years of history: Mughal palaces next to British colonial architecture, medieval bazaars next to modern malls. Old Delhi is chaotic and intoxicating, New Delhi green and spacious. Plan at least 2–3 days, plus a day trip to Agra for the Taj Mahal.

🏰 Rajasthan

For whom: Culture lovers, photographers, romantics
The "Land of Kings" is India's most colorful region: the pink city of Jaipur, the blue city of Jodhpur, the golden city of Jaisalmer, the white city of Udaipur. Majestic forts, opulent palaces, and desert adventures in the Thar. The most popular tourist region — deservedly so.

🏖️ Goa

For whom: Beach vacationers, partygoers, culture explorers
India's smallest state and former Portuguese colony. Dream beaches, trance parties in the north, quiet bays in the south, UNESCO churches in Old Goa, and a unique Indo-Portuguese cuisine with lots of fish, coconut, and spices.

🌴 Kerala

For whom: Nature lovers, wellness travelers, foodies
"God's Own Country" — and the name is justified. Houseboat trips through the backwaters, Ayurveda treatments, tea plantations in the mountains, wildlife in Periyar National Park, and the cosmopolitan port city of Kochi. India's most relaxed region.

⛰️ South India

For whom: Adventurers, temple lovers, off-the-beaten-path travelers
Less visited than the north, but no less fascinating: the surreal ruins of Hampi, the magnificent Mysore Palace, the French-influenced Pondicherry, the hill station Ooty, and the breathtaking Meenakshi Temple in Madurai.
