Trinidad has hundreds of Casas Particulares—the highest density in Cuba. The quality is consistently good to excellent. Typical price: 25–40 €/night for a double room with breakfast, private bathroom, often with a private terrace and view over the rooftops. The Casa cuisine in Trinidad is legendary: lobster dinner for 12–15 € with starter, salad, rice, beans, dessert, and drink.

Typical Day in Trinidad
Morning: Breakfast in the Casa, then stroll through the empty streets (before 10 AM, when day-trippers from the beach hotels arrive). Noon: Beach (Playa Ancón, 12 km) or excursion (Topes de Collantes). Afternoon: Canchánchara in the eponymous bar. Evening: Dinner in the Casa or at the Paladar.
