Malaysia is a culinary paradise like no other. The mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Nyonya cuisine is unique in the world. Penang alone justifies a trip. Hawker centers, night markets, Mamak restaurants — you can eat around the clock for almost nothing. From Nasi Lemak for breakfast to Laksa for lunch to Satay in the evening: your stomach will thank you.

Malaysia is family-friendly: safe infrastructure, affordable prices, child-friendly beaches on Langkawi and Penang, aquariums, theme parks (LEGOLAND in Johor!), and the fascinating Batu Caves. Sipadan is world-class — period. But the Perhentian Islands, Tioman, Redang, and the Mulu Caves also offer fantastic diving and snorkeling experiences. PADI Open Water from 800 MYR (~160 €), fun dives from 80 MYR (~16 €). Turtles, reef sharks, barracuda swarms, and coral gardens await.
