"Africa's greatest meat experience" — and that's no exaggeration. The Carnivore is Nairobi's most legendary restaurant, an institution since 1980. The concept: a huge open grill in the center, around which waiters revolve with Masai swords full of meat.
For a fixed price (about 40 USD), you get all-you-can-eat of various meats: beef ribs, lamb legs, chicken, pork sausage, and — depending on availability and season — more exotic options like crocodile and ostrich. When you've had enough, you raise a white flag at your table.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the outdoor area transforms into a nightclub — the Simba Saloon is one of Nairobi's most popular party locations with live music and DJs.

Come hungry! The all-you-can-eat is only a good deal for meat if you really dig in. Vegetarians are better off at Talisman (Karen) or Mama Oliech.
