Naseem Hotel · Mutrah — Simple, clean hotel right behind the Mutrah Souq. Perfect location for the souq and the Corniche. Double rooms from 15 OMR. No luxury, but the value for money is unbeatable for the location.
Ruwi Hotel · Ruwi — Solid budget hotel in the heart of Ruwi, surrounded by cheap restaurants and street food stalls. From 12 OMR. The bus station is within walking distance.
Mid-range
Mutrah Hotel · Mutrah — Historic hotel with charm, right on the Corniche. The sea view rooms are a dream — you wake up with a view of the harbor and mountains. From 30 OMR.

💡 Tipp
For the best compromise between location, price, and authenticity: Stay in Mutrah. You're within walking distance of the souq, the Corniche, and the fish market. In the evenings, you can stroll along the waterfront instead of sitting in a taxi. The upscale beach resorts (Shangri-La, Chedi) are worth it for the last 1–2 nights as a reward after the tour. The best booking strategy: First night near the airport/Al Mouj (pleasant arrival), then 1–2 nights in Mutrah (sightseeing), last night in the beach resort (relaxation).
